I was recently inspired by the Piano Guys (if you haven't heard of them, I suggest you search them on Youtube). When I first listened to their music I was totally captivated, and then I had that adrenaline rush to be just like them.
My current piano skills are weak, I have to say, can't even compare myself with some random cover piano dude on Youtube, even though I feel that some of them are played really badly, but I know I do not have the rights to criticize them, because I am just the same. So, my resolution is to achieve perfection by hardcore practice. I've always been a stong believer that practice makes perfect, because I personally had done that before. Fyi, I do practice a lot for my practical, and thank God my results were satisfactory plus I was lucky to have some really lenient examiners.
Well, my point here is, I need songs to practice. It is a shame that so far I've not really played any songs other than exam pieces. Actually I do, but not many. So my exposure towards other non-examination music had been pathetically little. So, anyone who have nice piano music pieces, please do introduce me to it. If you are willing to lend me the sheet music, that would be better. However, my plan is, while practicing contemporary music, I would brush up on my scales too, as my scales are the worst. I really regret that previously I thought that scales were unimportant and left them behind. Now my fingering is undescribably screwed, literally, like your fingers are twisted on the keys.
That's all for my pledge. Wish me luck in moulding myself to be the ever outstanding performer!
Your future Piano Guy,
Josh (MUAHAHA)
